                        The Future of Nursing Informatics
Healthcare and technology are two important topics that continue to change and grow as time moves forward. Nursing Informatics is only going to get bigger and better. Nursing technology has transformed the way nurses work and continues to evolve, along with the roles that nurses play in today’s health care arena.
According to various studies and surveys, technology in the nursing world has increased patient satisfaction and overall outcomes, reduced clinical errors and decreased the amount of paperwork that nurses were once required to perform.
The outlook for new technology in nursing remains robust, as new devices, computers and robots aim to transform the future of health care. The following technologies are just a few that have made headlines recently as they ease and streamline each nurse’s workload to help them focus on what matters most—their patients. From meaningful use to accountable care, healthcare trends are transforming nurses' roles, responsibilities and career trajectories.
Key to being part of this change is nursing informatics. The field has already begun to flourish. Healthcare organizations can do much to support the evolving role of nursing informatics.
We can develop nurses' potential to fulfill emerging informatics management roles by focusing on leadership skills such as communications, strategic and systems thinking, clinical, financial and business operations, and technical skills, build a culture that supports nursing informatics through programs organized around reward and recognition, professional development, mentoring, performance planning and assessment, and career path development. As the healthcare landscape continues to shift, nurses are key leaders to navigate the need for coordinated care and enable better data infrastructure. The role of the nurse leader in informatics will most certainly be integral to the industry's future.

Nursing Knowledge

"The emerging field of nursing informatics blends the nursing, computer and information sciences to create a 21st century response to the challenges facing the health care industry in general and nursing in particular. For nursing to meet the increasingly complex demands of the health care marketplace, it is essential that it maximize its use of the latest computer and information science technologies."

We all know now a days that nursing course is very in-demand that's why lot of people took this course. But recently, we've heard that nurses are over flowing and no jobs are available even in other country for them to avail. But they didn't think that's there's lot of jobs are waiting for the nurses. Nurses can do different roles, it is not only about of taking care of the patient but there is also can do about computers.
This is why Nursing Informatics has been studied because it plays an important role in medical field. Even everywhere, computers is now very important in everyday life. Like what nurses do everyday in the hospital, Nursing Informatics can help because on the part of the nurses it may save time and effort and can do other things well and on time because nurses generates massive amounts of information on a daily basis.

This information covers many aspects of the nurse's job and may include medication orders, documentation of the care given to different patients, sensitive information about those patients and data on the outcome of specific treatment options, therefore, in documenting there's no need to write on the chart. We can save the information through computers and it is more easy to find the needed data or file of the patient. Because computer has made it possible to store information electronically and we can easily retrieve it without difficulty related to the daily conduct of the nurse's job.
